Maratha Community Offers Special Prayers at Shri Kshetra Kapileshwar Temple for Farmers' Welfare, Good Monsoon and Prosperity
Belagavi, June 30: Members of the Sakal Maratha Samaj gathered at the historic Shri Kshetra Kapileshwar Temple, popularly known as the ‘Dakshin Kashi’, to offer special prayers seeking prosperity, timely rainfall, the welfare of farmers and peace for society.
The religious programme, organised on June 29, witnessed participation from members of the Maratha community, social organisations and devotees from Belagavi and surrounding areas.
Prayers for Farmers, Good Rainfall and Prosperity
During the ceremony, Ranjit Chavan Patil, President of the Devasthan Panch Committee, offered prayers on behalf of the Maratha community and farmers, seeking blessings for the well-being of society and agricultural prosperity.
Special prayers were offered for:
- Prosperity and happiness for people from all sections of society.
- Safety, welfare and prosperity of farmers (Baliraja).
- Timely and adequate rainfall to ensure a successful agricultural season.
- Peace, harmony and overall development of society.
Large Community Participation
The programme witnessed the presence of several leaders and office-bearers of the Sakal Maratha Samaj and other organisations.
Among those present were Ranjit Chavan Patil, President of the Belagavi Devasthan Panch Committee, senior leader Malojirao Ashtekar, and Sakal Maratha Samaj coordinators Kiran Jadhav, Sagar Patil, Gunwant Patil, Mahadev Chougule, Kapil Bhosale, Sharad Patil, Prakash Kalakundrekar, Sudhakar Chalke, Shivaji Hangirgekar, Shivraj Patil, Vinayak Hulji, Rajan Jadhav, Parth Patil, Gajanan Misale, Mahesh Laghade, along with trustees of the Kapileshwar Temple Trust and numerous community representatives.
Devotional Atmosphere
A large number of citizens and community members from Belagavi and nearby regions participated in the religious gathering. The temple premises witnessed a deeply devotional atmosphere as devotees collectively prayed for peace, prosperity, a favourable monsoon and the welfare of farmers and society.
