BENGALURU: A man allegedly murdered his 14-year-old nephew in Soladevanahalli, over a dispute about spending on online gaming. The victim has been identified as Amogha Kirti, and the accused is Nagaprasad.
The boy had been staying with his uncle for eight months and was addicted to the online game Free Fire. He was allegedly constantly demanding money from Nagaprasad, who got angry and fed up with his nephew’s addiction.
The situation escalated when the boy physically assaulted his uncle a week ago, demanding money. Enraged, Nagaprasad slit the boy’s throat, killing him, around 4:30 am on Monday. After committing the crime, Nagaprasad attempted to drown himself in a lake, but later changed his mind. He then spent three days in Majestic area as he had no money to go anywhere.
Eventually, Nagaprasad surrendered to the Soladevanahalli police. The boy’s decomposed body was later found and the police have registered an FIR and arrested the accused.
