The world famous Lord Ayyappa temple here will open on December 30 at 1700 hrs for Makaravilakku, the annual festival at the hill shrine, officials said here on Monday.
The entry to the temple will be allowed for the pilgrims from the morning of December 31, 2020, until January 19, 2021. The temple will be closed on January 20.
The Virtual Queue booking for the Sabarimala pilgrimage can be done online at www.sabarimalaonline.org from December 28.
The entry to Sabarimala temple is limited to only 5,000 pilgrims per day. RTPCR/RT Lamp/Express Nat Covid-19 Negative Certificate taken within 48 hours of the pilgrimage, is mandatory for the Ayyappa devotees visiting Sabarimala from December 31.
Those who do not have a COVID negative certificate will not be allowed entry into Sabarimala. There will be no COVID testing facility at Nilakkal. UNI
