There is no getting away from the fact that there has been a surge in Covid cases, especially in Bengaluru, post Unlock.1 in the first week of June. Equally challenging is the growing number of cases with no travel history — a clear sign of community spread.
Most Bengaluru MLAs seem to favour a continuation of the lockdown. But if that happens, the revival of the economy will take another hit. The middle path seems to be alternative ways of controlling the rising corona graph. In any case, the cabinet meeting, scheduled for 11 am on Thursday, has a tough call to make.
