Lal PathLabs donates Covid-testing machines to Karnataka govt

LPL Foundation and Mantra4Change are aiding efforts of the Health Department

BENGALURU:

Lal PathLabs Foundation on Wednesday donated two TruNat Covid-testing machines worth Rs 15 lakh to the Karnataka Health Department. The equipment was received by Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Jawaid Akhtar.

Lal PathLabs Foundation and Mantra4Change, a not-for-profit organization, are currently working in coordination with the Karnataka Health Department.

Speaking to the media, Chief Operating Officer, Dr LalPath Labs, Sankha Banerjee, said LPL Foundation has supported the Central and state governments in the fight against the pandemic.

“Through our network of volunteers, we have been able to support around 20,000 people with food and 5,000-plus families with ration kits. Also, 14 primary health centres, 9 Covid-19 designated hospitals and ICMR-Belagavi have been provided with critical medical equipment and consumables,” said Puneeth, a volunteer with Mantra4Change.

Director of Mantra4Change Santosh Kumar More said, “Through our network of volunteers, we have been able to support hospitals, primary health centres and the BBMP war room.”
