Kumaraswamy reviews BHEL profitability improvement plan, assures full ministry support

New Delhi, July 14: Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy chaired a meeting in New Delhi to review Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited’s Profitability Improvement Plan with the senior management of BHEL and officials of the Ministry of Heavy Industries.

According to information shared by Kumaraswamy’s media team, the meeting deliberated on accelerating project execution, strengthening margins, improving cost competitiveness, enhancing cash generation and driving sustained profitability.

The review also covered a roadmap for expanding high-value service businesses, diversifying into emerging sectors and building what the minister described as a stronger, future-ready enterprise through operational excellence and long-term value creation.

Kumaraswamy assured BHEL of the Ministry’s full support in achieving its strategic objectives and reinforcing its position as a globally competitive engineering and manufacturing company, the statement said.

In the communication, Kumaraswamy said the effort was guided by the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and added that the government remained committed to transforming Central Public Sector Enterprises into “engines of innovation, efficiency and sustainable industrial growth,” contributing towards Viksit Bharat.

The update was shared on social media and tagged the Ministry of Heavy Industries and BHEL.
