BENGALURU:
KSRTC has decided to resume inter-state bus services on June 17, starting with Andhra Pradesh. The buses will be run without air-conditioning in view of the virus risk.
One service will be from Bengaluru to Anantapur, Hindupur, Kadri, Puttaparthi, Kalyanadurga, Rayadurga, Kadapa, Produtur, Mantralaya, Tirupathi, Chittoor, Madanapalli, Nellore and Vijayawada. Another will be from Ballari to Vijayawada, Anantapur, Kurnool and Mantralaya. A third service will be from Raichur to Mantralaya, and a fourth service from Shahpur to Mantralaya and Kurnool, according to a KSRTC release.
Services to Telangana may resume next week, but no decision has been taken on operating buses to Kerala, Goa, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra, according to an official.
KSRTC had stopped inter-state bus services from March 24 after the countrywide lockdown was declared.
