Knife-Wielding Husband Slits Wife’s Throat in Bengaluru’s Electronic City
BENGALURU: The Electronic City police have apprehended a man who brutally attacked his wife in the middle of a busy road.
The victim, identified as Sharada (35) from Bagepalli, was tragically murdered by her husband, Krishna. Authorities suspect that the motive behind this heinous act was Krishna’s suspicions of infidelity.
The horrific incident took place at 8 pm on Friday, A.4, in Pragati Nagar near Dodda Thogur. Krishna ambushed Sharada as she was returning home from work on a secluded road, armed with two knives. He viciously slit her throat, resulting in her untimely death. Despite his attempt to flee, local residents managed to apprehend him and hand him over to the police.
South-East Division DCP Sara Fatima provided details of the incident, stating that a distress call was received by the control room at 8:00 pm on A.4. Electronic City PSI and officers promptly responded to the scene, taking Krishna into custody. An investigation is currently underway to determine the motive behind the brutal murder, with the full extent of the tragedy to be revealed following the completion of the post-mortem examination. A case has been filed at the Electronic City Police Station in connection with this tragic event.
