BENGALURU:
After a new Covid-19 suspect arrived from Saudi Arabia, the Karnataka government has announced that all flights from abroad will be screened at Bengaluru International Airport.
Late on Tuesday evening, a Bengalurean was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Hospital after he complained of a fever.
Speaking to thebengalurulive, Dr M Shariff, who works at the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services, said, “The suspected was admitted yesterday (Tuesday) and the samples were sent for testing. The results will come today.”
The suspect had come from Saudi Arabia. He was admitted after he complained of having a fever.
Dr Sharrif said the state government has decided to screen all flights coming in from all countries.
4 CASES IN HOSPITAL
Altogether four suspected cases, including the Saudi Arabia-returned passenger, the Telangana techie’s roommate in Bengaluru and another two have been admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Hospital.
