BENGALURU: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has published the third-round provisional seat-allotment results for undergraduate medical and dental courses. Candidates seeking to exit counselling or cancel allotted seats have until noon on October 5 to complete the applicable process, executive director H. Prasanna said.
Choice-4 exit for candidates taking MCC seats
Candidates allotted seats by both the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and KEA who wish to join a seat allotted in MCC’s third round can select Choice-4 through the link on the KEA website by noon on October 5 and leave KEA counselling without a penalty, Prasanna said.
Candidates who have already joined seats allotted in KEA’s first or second round and now wish to join a seat allotted in MCC’s third round can cancel their KEA seat by paying a ₹10,000 penalty by the same deadline.
Cancellation of third-round KEA seats
Candidates allotted seats in the third round in other states who wish to join there, as well as those who wish to leave counselling because they do not want their allotted seat, can cancel their third-round KEA seat by paying a ₹10,000 penalty. The deadline is noon on October 5.
Email required to remain in KEA counselling
Candidates who joined a seat in MCC’s first or second round, but have now obtained a seat in KEA’s third round and wish to join it, must email their complete details to keauthority_ka@nic.in by noon on October 5. Such candidates will be retained in the KEA counselling list, Prasanna said.
Candidates who cancel their seats and leave counselling will not be permitted to participate in later rounds, he warned.
Seats remaining after cancellations will be considered again for allotment in the same round before the final results are published. Choice-4 will not be available after this round. Candidates can consult the KEA website for further details.
