Monday sees 7 new positive cases; Bengaluru has 23
BENGALURU:
Karnataka saw another frightening single-day record of seven confirmed coronavirus cases on Monday, bringing the total number in the state to 33.
Bengaluru city has the highest number with 23 positive cases, Kalaburagi district has three cases and one death, Chikamagalur and Mysuru have two positive cases each, and Dharwad, Belagavi, Dakshin Kannada and Kodagu districts have one each.
Monday’s seven new cases are as follows:
Patient 27: A 46-year-old male resident of Kerala with a travel history to Dubai, who arrived in Bengaluru on March 22. He is in isolation and being treated in Mysuru. (3 high-risk primary contacts and 4 secondary contacts have been traced and are house quarantined.)
Patient 28: A 38-year-old male who is a resident of Bengaluru travelled to Dubai and arrived in India on March 17. He is in isolation at a designated hospital in Bengaluru.
Patient 29: A 41-year-old male who is a resident of Bengaluru and arrived to India on March 13 via London. He is being treated at a designated hospital in Bengaluru.
Patient 30: A 30-year-old female who is a resident of Bengaluru and wife of P17. She is in isolation and is being treated at a designated hospital in Bengaluru.
Patient 31: A 24-year-old male resident of Bengaluru with a history of travel to the UK and Dubai, who arrived in Bengaluru on March 18. He is in isolation at a designated hospital in Bengaluru.
Patient 32: A 60-year-old male resident of Bengaluru, with a history of travel to Germany, who arrived in Bengaluru on March 17. He is in isolation at a designated hospital in Bengaluru.
Patient 33: A 22-year-old male resident of Kannur, Kerala, with a history of travel to Dubai, who arrived in Bengaluru on March 22. He is in isolation at a hospital in Bengaluru.
