Karnataka likely to relax COVID restrictions in places with less positivity rate, after review next week
Chief Secy Ravi Kumar’s order further permits horse racing to resume as per Covid norms
BENGALURU:
With the number of Covid-19 cases declining in Karnataka, the state government has withdrawn its night curfew order with immediate effect.
Chief Secretary P Ravi Kumar’s order issued on Friday reads: “Night curfew, which is being imposed from 10 pm to 5 am, is herewith withdrawn.”

His order further reads: “Horse racing is permitted to resume, strictly adhering to Covid-19 appropriate behaviour and SOPs issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department.”
Horse racing: Conditions apply
“The number of racing patrons attending horse racing shall be strictly as per the seating capacity of the venue and only fully vaccinated people with Covid-19 vaccine will be allowed entry into such premises,” the order reads.
