Bengaluru: Karnataka-based startups with solutions ready for deployment can apply by October 23, 2026, for pilot work orders of up to ₹25 lakh under the first call of the Government First programme, Minister Priyank Kharge announced.
Backed by a ₹25 crore outlay, the programme aims to support around 100 startups over three years. Selected startups will test their solutions in actual government environments, making departments potential first customers for their technology, according to Kharge.
What solutions is the first call seeking?
The initial problem statements cover Praja Seva and the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB). They span grievance redressal, citizen call centres and e-Office, alongside non-revenue water, treated wastewater, asset management and digital twins.
The call invites startups based in Karnataka that already have deployment-ready solutions to challenges identified by government departments. The support is linked to selection and pilot work; successful pilots could open pathways for wider deployment and adoption, Kharge said.
How to apply
Applications for the first call are open until October 23. Kharge directed interested startups to the Government First page of Karnataka’s Electronics, IT, Biotechnology and Science & Technology Department to apply.
Startups can use the listed problem areas to identify whether their solution fits the first call, and consult the application page for the submission requirements.
