Karnataka ST Welfare Minister T. Raghumurthy Orders Time-Bound Execution of Schemes on First Day in Office
Bengaluru: Karnataka Scheduled Tribe Welfare Minister T. Raghumurthy, on his first day after assuming charge, directed officials to ensure time-bound implementation of the department’s welfare schemes and projects without delays.
Raghumurthy issued the directions during a review meeting with senior officials at his Vidhana Soudha office on Monday, where he sought detailed information on the department’s functioning and the progress of various schemes and projects.
The minister asked officials to submit a comprehensive report covering all projects currently under implementation. He sought project-wise details on their present status, pending works, reasons for any delays and measures required for their completion.
Raghumurthy said Scheduled Tribe welfare programmes cover key areas including education, housing, economic empowerment and infrastructure development, making effective coordination at different levels of the department and speedy execution of projects essential.
Department Secretary M. Kanagavalli, Valmiki Development Corporation Managing Director Ashok Dudaganti, Department Director Ashok and other senior officials attended the review meeting.
