Bengaluru: Karnataka will form guarantee committees at the panchayat level to strengthen contact with beneficiaries, Chief Minister D K Shivakumar said on October 28, while launching a dashboard and social-media platforms for the state implementation committee.
Committee members were instructed to visit beneficiary households, explain the benefits provided under the schemes and put up “Guarantee Mane” stickers, according to a statement on the event at the Krishna home office.
Guarantee committees get district and taluk expenditure dashboard
Implementation committee chairman H M Revanna said the dashboard provides district-wise and taluk-wise details of government expenditure on the guarantee schemes. It also carries government orders, officials’ contact information and beneficiary success stories.
A “Guarantee Katte” platform is also proposed for committee members to interact with beneficiaries and share feedback, Revanna said.
Shivakumar asked the committees to use social media effectively at all levels and regularly share scheme information and beneficiaries’ views to counter what he described as misinformation about the programmes.
Revanna, committee vice-chairpersons P T Parameshwara Naik, Dinesh Gooligowda and Mehroz Khan, GBA-area committee chairman G Krishnappa, Chief Minister’s communication adviser Deepak Thimmaiah and Centre for e-Governance CEO Bhoobalan attended.
