Bengaluru: NCC cadets from the Karnataka and Goa Directorate have won the Best Air Contingent title at the All India Vayu Sainik Camp for the fourth consecutive year.

The camp was held at Air Force Station Tambaram in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, from September 3 to October 13, 2026, according to the Defence Wing statement.

Air Commodore Kamal Chadha, Deputy Director General of the NCC Directorate for Karnataka and Goa, congratulated the cadets on the achievement and commended their dedication as an inspiration to other young NCC cadets.

The directorate described the win as another step towards its goal of securing the Prime Minister’s Banner for a third consecutive year at the Republic Day Camp in 2027. That remains a future objective; the award announced now is the Best Air Contingent title at the Vayu Sainik Camp.
