Bengaluru: Contracts worth a combined ₹105.66 crore, excluding GST, have been awarded for four road overbridges and one road underbridge along the Heelalige–Rajanukunte Kanaka Line of the Bengaluru suburban rail project.
K-RIDE said Bengaluru Integrated Rail Infrastructure Development Enterprise Limited (Bi-RIDE) issued the letters of acceptance for the two Corridor-4 level-crossing packages to M/s ESSVY-SLNS (JV) on October 30. Each package has an 18-month completion period.

Package-1, awarded at ₹54.83 crore excluding GST, covers two road overbridges and one road underbridge. The works also include service roads and drainage facilities.
Package-2, valued at ₹50.83 crore excluding GST, provides for two road overbridges, together with service roads and drainage facilities. Both contracts have gone to the same joint venture.
The works are intended to eliminate level crossings along Corridor-4. K-RIDE said the grade-separated crossings aim to improve road and rail safety, reduce traffic congestion and make movement smoother for commuters.
Physical construction is expected to begin shortly, according to the announcement.
