BENGALURU:

In a heart-wrenching incident, Mahanthamma, an 8-year-old student, tragically lost her life after a dreadful accident at a government school in Chinmagera village, located in the Afzalpur taluk.

The young girl, a second-grade student, fell into a scalding pot of sambar on November 16, sustaining severe injuries. Despite receiving immediate medical attention at Kalaburagi, Mahanthamma’s condition deteriorated, prompting her transfer to Bengaluru’s Victoria Hospital for advanced treatment. Sadly, the young girl passed away at approximately 3:30 this morning, failing to respond to the medical interventions.

In light of this devastating incident, the District Deputy Public Instruction (DDPI) and the Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer (EO) have taken swift action, suspending the head teacher, assistant teacher, and kitchen head of the school involved in this tragic mishap.
