Japan Consul General Nawata Hiroshi Meets KOA President K Govindaraju in Bengaluru, Visits Kanteerava Stadiums
Bengaluru: Japan’s Consul General in Bengaluru, Nawata Hiroshi, met Karnataka Olympic Association (KOA) President and Legislative Council member Dr K. Govindaraju at the Karnataka Olympic Bhavan on Friday and held discussions with him.
During the visit, Hiroshi viewed photographs of Olympians and Arjuna Award recipients displayed at the Hall of Fame on the KOA Bhavan premises. Govindaraju briefed him about the sportspersons featured there and the association’s activities.
Hiroshi appreciated the functioning of the Karnataka Olympic Association and said he would continue to extend support for the development of sports in Karnataka.
He also visited the Kanteerava indoor and outdoor stadiums in Bengaluru.
Govindaraju later felicitated Hiroshi by presenting him with a Mysuru Peta. KOA office-bearers were present on the occasion.
