J Ravishankar (IAS-2001) is new Karnataka Excise Commissioner
Appointment follows predecessor M Lokesh’s repatriation to home state of UPÂ
BENGALURU:
The Karnataka government has appointed 2001 batch IAS officer J Ravishankar as the new Excise Commissioner, with effect from July 8.
Ravishankar’s appointment comes after Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS officer (2005 batch) Dr M Lokesh was repatriated to his parent state.  Ravishankar is also in concurrent charge as secretary to the Kannada and Culture Department.Â
