BENGALURU:
A new cause for alarm for Karnataka is the fact that as many as 56 Covid-positive patients are in ICUs, of whom 7 are on ventilators. This spike has come in the last 24 hours with 40 patients being shifted to ICUs.
Bidar district leads with 4 ICU cases in the last 24 hours, followed by Bengaluru with 2 and Dakshina Kannada with one.
As per the health department bulletin, till Sunday evening the number of ICU cases was around 16, but it went up significantly till Monday evening.
Overall, Kalaburagi has the highest number of ICU patients at 18, followed by Bengaluru with 17, Ballari and Bidar with 5, Dharwad with 3, Daksihna Kannada and Vijayapura with 2 each, and Davanagere, Mandya, Udupi and Shivamogga with one each.
