BENGALURU:
The Karnataka government has appointed senior IAS officer LK Atheeq to head its fact-check unit on Cobid-19 reports in the social media.
His appointment comes after the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting directed the state Chief Secretary to appoint a nodal officer from the state for a time-bound response to messages/queries from the PIB’s Fact Check Unit.
Acting upon it, the Chief Secretary nominated LK Atheeq, who is Principal Secretary to the RDPR Department.
