PAC chief calls for adequate oxygen supplies
BENGALURU:
The state Human Rights Commission has registered a case on the basis of a letter by former minister H K Patil alleging corruption in the purchase of Covid-related equipment, including ambulances, PPE kits and ventilators.
The Congress leader will appear before the Commission on August 3.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, Patil said, “I had written to the Human Rights Commission on July 15 and requested its intervention. Without access to ambulances, many patients have died. Funerals have not been conducted properly.”
He said he had written several letters to the government, and some have been answered, while some questions have received wrong answers.
