Bengaluru: Motorists travelling from Auto Mart Junction towards the Outer Ring Road on 14th Main Road in HSR Layout will have to use alternative routes for the next two months, as one side of the road has been closed for white-topping work, the HSR Layout Traffic Police said.
According to the traffic police advisory, the white-topping work is under way on 14th Main Road between Auto Mart Junction, also called Jakkasandra Junction, and the 14th Main Road junction on the Outer Ring Road. The advisory map issued with the notice says the arrangement will be in force for 60 days from November 8, 2026.
Vehicles will continue to be allowed from the Outer Ring Road 14th Main Road junction towards Auto Mart Junction, with traffic moved to the opposite side of the road. Vehicles will not be allowed from Auto Mart Junction towards the Outer Ring Road 14th Main Road junction.
For motorists heading to HSR Layout from Koramangala Water Tank and Aishwarya Junction, the police have suggested going from Auto Mart Junction towards Agara Junction, taking a right turn at Agara Junction and reaching HSR Layout through 19th Main Road. They can also go from Auto Mart Junction towards the 27th Main Road junction and enter HSR Layout through its internal roads.
Motorists coming from Koramangala Water Tank can alternatively take a right turn at Aishwarya Junction and use Venkatapura Main Road to reach the Outer Ring Road, before continuing towards HSR Layout.
Those travelling from Koramangala towards the Outer Ring Road and HSR Layout have been advised to go via Silk Board Junction and proceed towards 5th Main Road.
The traffic police have asked the public and motorists to cooperate with them to keep vehicles moving smoothly while the work is carried out.
