The BBMP health wing on Sunday penalised People Tree Hospital in Goraguntepalya Rs 1 lakh for not disposing of PPE kits properly.
The hospital’s irregularity was noticed during a routine inspection by BBMP’s health inspector and marshals.
Mayor M Goutham Kumar tweeted: “#BBMP Marshals and Health Inspector imposed a fine of ₹1 Lakh on People Tree Hospital in Goraguntepalya for dumping medical waste with non-segregated commercial waste. Hospital authorities were warned of strict action if they continue to flout the rules.”
