UDUPI:
A shocking and tragic incident unfolded near Santhekatte Nejaru in Udupi, where four members of a single family were brutally murdered, leaving the assailant on the loose. The victims, identified as mother Hasina (46) and her three children, Afnan (23), Aynaz (21), and Asim (12), fell victim to this heinous crime.
The incident occurred around 9 am on Sunday, yet the motive behind this gruesome act remains unknown. The local authorities from the Malpe police department are currently investigating the scene.
The assailant, armed with sharp weapons, mercilessly stabbed and killed the four victims before making a swift escape. The assailant abruptly entered the house, engaging in a verbal altercation before launching the attack. Hasina, Afnan, and Aynaz were the first to be stabbed. At that moment, Asim, who was playing outside, heard the commotion and rushed inside the house. Tragically, he too became a victim of this senseless violence.
In the midst of the chaos, a young woman from a neighboring house emerged upon hearing the disturbance. The assailant, in a display of further aggression, threatened her and forced her to flee. Hasina’s mother-in-law, who was present in the house, also suffered severe injuries. It is worth noting that Hasina’s husband is currently employed abroad, leaving the family vulnerable and defenseless in his absence.
This horrifying incident has left the community in shock and mourning. The local authorities are working tirelessly to apprehend the assailant and bring justice to the grieving family.
