‘Home stay’ for cops above 55 with poor health

BENGALURU:

City police commissioner Bhaskar Rao has instructed the department that all police personnel above 55 years and having a history of chronic illness remain at home. The order comes in the wake of 2 deaths and around 38 infections in the force.

The order says, “Police officers are not go on leave but remain at home, and not go out of Bengaluru… it’s treated as on duty.”

The order to ‘stay home’ will cover all ranks, including constables, head constables, sub-inspectors and inspectors of police, above 55 years.
