Bengaluru has 4 new cases, Mysuru 7 and 2 Dakshina Kannada are Tablighi Jamaat congregation returnee
BENGALURU:
On Friday, Karnataka saw the highest single-day count of 16 Covid-19 cases, taking the overall tally to 144.
Karnataka Education Minister S Suresh Kumar said all the positive cases have been admitted to designated hospitals.
Bengaluru city alone has registered 4 new cases while Mysuru has seen seven, Dakshina Kannada two, Udupi one. A Kerala-based person who had a German travel history has been admitted in Akash Hospital in Bengaluru Rural.
According to Kumar, the Mysuru patients had a travel history of returning from Delhi Nizamuddin Markaz but before the congregation meet. They travelled in January and have tested positive now.
However, the two infected cases from Dakshina Kannada district had a history of visiting the Tablighi Jamaat.

# P134: 38-year-old male, Mysuru, travel history to Delhi and admitted at KR Hospital, Mysuru.
# P135: 19-year-old male, Mysuru. Travel history to Delhi and admitted at KR Hospital, Mysuru.
# P136: 39-year-old male, Mysuru. Travel history to Delhi and admitted at KR Hospital, Mysuru.
