Bengaluru: Gruha Jyothi beneficiaries who could not participate in BESCOM’s door-to-door survey because their homes were locked or vacant can submit documents in person at the nearest sub-division office until October 31.
BESCOM described the extended window as a one-time final opportunity for document verification after 16.09 lakh locked houses and 28,519 vacant homes were identified during the survey.
97.45% survey coverage across eight districts
BESCOM said 74,29,773 beneficiaries are covered across its eight districts, including consumers under the Bhagya Jyothi, Kuteera Jyothi and Amrutha Jyothi schemes. By October 14, the survey had covered 72,40,489 consumers, or 97.45%.
Documents must be submitted in person
Eligible consumers who were unavailable during the household visit have been asked to approach the nearest BESCOM sub-division office with the relevant records before the deadline. The state government has extended the survey period to October 31 following BESCOM’s request.
BESCOM said this is the final opportunity for verification of documents under the ongoing survey.
