CM attends talk on ‘Bengaluru Agenda’ hosted by Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, praises inputs of business leaders

The state government is keen to come out with a clear agenda for the planned development of Bengaluru, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Sunday.
Speaking to media persons before attending a discussion on ‘Bengaluru Agenda’ hosted by Biocon founder Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, he said prominent entrepreneurs of Bengaluru are interested to play a role in the city’s development and have been giving valuable suggestions to the government of the day. “Some prominent entrepreneurs have invited me for a preliminary discussion on plans for the economic growth and development of Bengaluru and Karnataka. It is part of a series of such discussions and it is just the first in that series,” the CM said.

“More comprehensive discussions will follow after today’s meeting. The discussions would involve prominent personalities from various domains, legislators from Bengaluru, senior officers and my ministerial colleagues. The agenda to be evolved for the city’s planned growth would be discussed and finalised in the state legislature,” Bommai said.
