The Government of India has approved 40 projects across 23 states under the ‘Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) – Development of Iconic Tourist Centres to Global Scale’ scheme for the financial year 2024-25, with a total allocation of ₹3,295.76 Crore. The primary aim of these projects is to elevate India’s iconic tourist destinations to a global level, enhancing their visibility through strategic branding and international marketing efforts.
