BSY launches ‘Skill Connect’ portal for job-seekers and recruiters

BENGALURU:

Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Monday said the government is committed to providing jobs for the state’s youths.

Speaking to the media after launching a ‘Skill Connect’ portal that connects private entrepreneurs and job-seekers, he said, “An unemployed person will be imparted a skill and then enabled to get a job.”

The portal will also create a skilled pool of people for interested employers, the CM said.

Deputy Chief Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwath Narayan, who is also the skill development minister, said, “All these years, there was no information and communication between job seekers and recruiters. The portal will solve this problem.”

How it works

https://skillconnect.kaushalkar.com connects job seekers and recruiters.
All one has to do is register on the portal by uploading their educational and skill qualifications and other details.
Similarly, recruiters can also register on the portal, giving the job description desired. They can contact job-seekers directly and vice versa.

The Chief Minister’s political secretary SR Vishwanath, Skill Development Secretary Selva Kumar, Skill Development Authority Managing Director Ashwin Gowda and other trade body representatives were present.
