BENGALURU:
The dreaded coronavirus has spread its tentacles to the highest echelons of the Catholic church in Bengaluru.
According to an official message from Archbishop Peter Machado, his predecessor and Archbishop Emeritus of Bangalore Rev Bernard Moras has tested positive for Covid-19.
The note says Rev Moras had gone to St John’s Medical College for a routine check-up on July 2 as he was not too well. On July 3, it was confirmed that he had mild symptoms of the virus. The doctors there have said his condition is stable.
The message wishes Rev Moras a speedy recovery on behalf of all the faithful of the Archdiocese of Bengaluru.
