No fee hike, warns Minister
BENGALURU:
Karnataka Education Minister S Suresh Kumar on Thursday said results of the First PUC exams will be declared on May 5.
An Education Department circular clarified that colleges will be informed in advance so that students can take the supplementary exams.
The Education Department has also directed that private PU colleges in the state should not increase fees. Parents from weaker sections may be allowed to pay student fees in instalments. The circular made it clear that colleges that hike fees will face legal consequences.
