A quarrel over ‘equitable’ sharing of booze led to a man being stabbed to death by his two friends in the RT Nagar police limits.
Ashok alias Kishore (25) was found dead in a house in Matadahalli in RT Nagar on the night of May 6. The two accused, Sujith Kumar, a native of Orissa, and Rajesh Kumar (32), a native of Jharkhand who was working as a cook in a hotel, had rented the house.
After the reopening of liquor shops, the trio purchased liquor and had a get-together on May 6. But a quarrel ensued with the other two saying Kishore had consumed more alcohol than he paid for. In the heat of the moment, the duo stabbed him fatally and fled the scene.
Led by ACP Shanthakumar of the JC Nagar sub-division and Inspector VJ Mithun Shilpi, the RT Nagar police traced and arrested the accused. A case has been registered at the R T Nagar police station.
