‘Axe’ on Sriramulu, given ‘sop’ portfolio
Both speaking on virus was creating confusion
BENGALURU:
In a development that many observers feel should have happened earlier, Karnataka Health Minister Sriramulu will no longer deal with matters related to Covid-19. Instead, Medical Education Minister Dr Sudhakar will assume full charge of all matters related to the corona virus.
This comes not a day too soon and removes a source of confusion, as multiple press conferences were being held by both ministers on the same day.
Dr. Sudhakar was allocated all matters related to Covid-19 by the Governor on the advice of the Chief Minister.
Health Minister B Sriramulu, who earlier handled matters related to Covid-19, has been allotted additional charge of Backward Class Welfare Development portfolio.
