Cops will act against such landlords: Govt

BENGALURU:

Following reports that some landlords are forcing essential medical personnel to vacate their premises, municipal corporations and district police have been instructed to take strict action against such landlords.

An order signed by Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department, Jawaid Akhtar, states that such behaviour amounts to obstructing public servants in discharging their duties.

The order instructs the civic and police officials concerned to take strict penal action in such cases and submit daily reports to the office of the Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department.
