BENGALURU:
The Central Crime Branch filed two chargesheets against gangster Ravi Pujari in murder and extortion cases in the 1st ACMM court on Friday.
Pujari was arrested in Senegal on Feb 23 and brought to Bengaluru. He is currently in jail.
On February 15, 2007, staff of Shabnam Developers, Shailaja and Ravi, were killed allegedly at the behest of Pujari. The 514-page chargesheet lists 18 accused and includes statements of 48 witnesses.
“A 200-page chargesheet has been filed in the case of extortion of a trustee of a temple in Whitefield,” said CCB Joint Commissioner Sandeep Patil.
Pujari aide nabbed
Meanwhile, on June 3 Pujari’s close associate Ghulam was arrested by the CCB from Mangaluru.
He was produced in court and sent to 10 days in police custody.
