Bengaluru: Doctors and support staff are providing treatment and medicines at the Bendebembali Primary Health Centre in Yadgir district following complaints that patients were struggling to access services because doctors and staff were unavailable, the Karnataka government said on Monday.
The Chief Minister’s secretariat reviewed the complaints concerning the centre in Vadagera taluk and directed the district health authorities to inspect the facility, according to the Department of Information and Public Relations.

District Health and Family Welfare officials visited the centre and conducted an inspection following the directions, the department said.
It attributed the confusion to the duty medical officer being on leave and said the issue had been resolved.
The department said doctors, a pharmacy officer, a laboratory technician and three nursing officers were now on duty, providing patients with the necessary treatment and medicines.
It said steps had been taken to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services for residents of the rural area. The statement did not specify how long patients had faced difficulties or give a date for the inspection.
