Covid case cured with plasma therapay
64-year-old man from Mumbai was being treated at KIMS, Hubli
HUBLI:
In a first for Karnataka, a 64-year-old Covid-19 patient has fully recovered after receiving plasma therapy at KIMS Hospital in Hubli.
Speaking to the media, KIMS director Dr Ramalingappa said, “One of the patients (P363) who had been cured in the hospital was persuaded to donate his plasma, which was injected in the 64-year-old man from Mumbai.
A total of 49 Covid cases have been admitted to KIMS Hospital so far, of whom 22 have recovered.
Health Minister B Sriramulu tweeted: “Doctors of KIMS Hospital in Hubli successfully treated a 64-year-old Covid patient with plasma therapy. Congratulations.”
