COVID-19 Victim Dies in Davangere, Karnataka’s Death Toll Reaches Seven

Bengaluru: A 65-year-old man from Davangere has become the latest victim of COVID-19, passing away on Thursday due to cardiopulmonary arrest, aspiration pneumonia in septic shock, and uncontrolled diabetes mellitus. His positive COVID-19 test has raised the state’s death toll to seven.

The individual succumbed to his ailments on May 31 at the government hospital in Davangere, according to the Karnataka health department.

As of Thursday, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Karnataka stands at 65 for the day, bringing the cumulative total since January to 796.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 644 tests were conducted, comprising 566 RT-PCR tests and 78 rapid antigen tests (RAT).
