Mysuru 2,685 positives, followed by 2,361 in Tumakuru
BENGALURU:
On Monday, Bengaluru, reported another spike of 22,112 Covid-19 positive cases, while Karnataka reported another spike of 44,438 cases overall.
Karnataka has now over 4.44 lakh active cases, of which 2.94 lakh are in Bengaluru alone.
After Bengaluru, Mysuru has also reported another spike of 2,685 positive cases reported on Monday. Tumakuru reported 2,361, Hassan 1,673, Mandya 1,367, Kalaburagi 1,083, Ballari 990, followed by other districts.

Bengaluru also witnessed 115 deaths, while the state reported 239, taking Karnataka’s case fatality rate to 0.53%. The state’s positivity rate now stands at an alarming 29.80%.
The day also saw 8,847 patients getting discharged after recovery in Bengaluru, while Karnataka overall saw 20,901 discharges.
Cumulatively, 16.46 lakh Covid-19 positive cases have been confirmed in the state, which includes 16,250 deaths and 11,85,299 discharges,the Health Department said in a bulletin.
Among the 239 deaths reported on Monday, Bengaluru Urban accounted for 115, Chamarajanagara (19), Mysuru (14), 13 each from Ballari and Hassan followed by others.
