Bengaluru: Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has released ₹7,405.86 crore for three Gruha Lakshmi instalments, the 34th, 35th and 36th, at one go, State Guarantee Schemes Implementation Authority vice-chairman Dinesh Gooligowda said on Wednesday.

Instalment details

  • 34th instalment: ₹2,500 crore.
  • 35th instalment: ₹2,452.93 crore.
  • 36th instalment: ₹2,452.93 crore.
  • Until now, 33 instalments had been credited to beneficiaries’ accounts.

Gooligowda said that with this release, ₹86,838.36 crore will have reached 1.24 crore women under the scheme up to October, which works out to ₹72,000 for each beneficiary.

He said the money will give women financial support at a time of drought, and thanked the Chief Minister for releasing it around Deepavali.

The government orders for the fifth, sixth and seventh instalments of Gruha Lakshmi for 2026-27 (the fifth dated November 2) each sanction ₹2,500 crore through DBT; the sixth and seventh orders send ₹2,452.93 crore of that to the executive officers of 31 district panchayats. The instalment numbers 34 to 36 are as given in the vice-chairman’s release.
