A timely TikTok video has helped deliver medicines to a family in Belagavi. Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa reportedly personally intervened in the matter after seeing the video.
Shekhava Arambavi, of Narasapur village in Ramadurga taluk of Belagavi, was suffering from a kidney ailment and her family was finding it difficult to get her medication.
A source close to the CM said, “During the lockdown, the CM has instructed all office staff to respond immediately to grievances and to keep him posted. So when he saw the video, he immediately called the Belagavi DC to arrange for her medication for the next one month.”
Shekhava’s husband had donated a kidney to her on January 17 at the SDM Hospital, Hubballi. Due to the lockdown, the family had been finding it difficult to source the life-saving medicine.
