Bengaluru city police commissioner Kamal Pant
BENGALURU:
Soon after ADGP Kamal Pant took over as Bengaluru city police commissioner, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa (who is now in Manipal Hospital after he was confirmed Covid positive) has followed up with a major ‘surgery’ in the police department, transferring 17 IPS officers.
The officers include Umesh Kumar, Dr. Rohini Katoch Sepat, N Shashi Kumar and B Ramesh.
As per the notification, Umesh Kumar, IPS (KN:1995), Additional Director General of Police & Principal Secretary to Government (PCAS), Home Department, is transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Additional Director General of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, Economic Offences, Bengaluru, vice B Dayananda, IPS, transferred.
Roopa D, IPS (KN:2000), Inspector General of Police, Railways, Bengaluru is transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Inspector General of Police & Secretary to Government (PCAS), Home Department, vice Umesh Kumar, IPS, transferred.
N Shashi Kumar, IPS (KN:2007), Deputy Commissioner of Police, North Division, Bengaluru City, is transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Superintendent of Police, Wireless, Bengaluru, vice Dharmender Kumar Meena, IPS, transferred.
Dr. Rohini Katoch Sepat, IPS (KN:2008), Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Division, Bengaluru City, is transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Superintendent of Police, CID, Bengaluru.
