Tells citizens ‘ball is in your court’
Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has dropped broad hints twice in the last one week about the lockdown period being extended beyond April 14.
On Sunday, he said it is ‘upto the citizens’ how they take the lockdown. In a series of tweets, he said: “Dear citizens, the ball is in your court. Only you can break the chain by strictly adhering to the lockdown.”
Another ‘significant’ tweet reads: “We have seen a sharp rise in the number of #Covid19 positive cases in the last few days all over. The idea behind lockdown was to stay home, stay safe and break the chain.”
“I have received a lot of complaints about the lockdown not being followed effectively. Please remember that the key to end the lockdown is in your hands.”
