100 of his Pulikeshi Nagar colleagues face quarantine
BENGALURU:
After a traffic head constable from the Pulikeshi Nagar traffic police station in East Bengaluru tested positive for Covid-19, around 100 of his colleagues are set to enter quarantine.
The 35-year-old was subjected to a test at CV Raman Hospital in Indiranagar on May 20. His report came positive on Thursday around 11.30 pm. Both he and a woman police constable who worked with him have been quarantined.
On hearing of the case, BBMP officials rushed to sanitise the police station premises.
If the constable’s second test comes positive, more personnel from the police station will be quarantined.Even the personnel of the adjacent law and order police station will be tested.
