Chiranjeevi Sarja’s Covid test comes negative

Actor Chiranjeevi Sarja, who died on Sunday, has posthumously tested negative for the coronavirus, according to doctors at Jayanagar’s Sagar Apollo Hospital.
The actor died at the hospital around 3.48 pm on Sunday.
As per guidelines, if a patient dies within a day of admission, his swab sample is sent for a Covid-19 test. “Procedures were followed and his tests have come negative. The report has been shared with officials from state health department,” said a spokesperson of the Apollo Hospital.
The actor was admitted to the hospital at 2.20 pm in a semi-conscious state. His vital indicators were not responding, and neither did he respond to repeated CPR.
According to a hospital statement, the actor died at 3.48 pm.
Chiranjeevi had a heart attack on Saturday night and was admitted to the Sagar Apollo Hospital on Sunday afternoon.
