Chargesheet against don Pujari for assault of TV channel owner

Date:

BENGALURU:

The CCB filed a new chargesheet against arrested underworld don Ravi Pujari in court on Friday.

In 2009, Pujari had allegedly threatened Jamal, the owner of a private TV channel in Indiranagar. But the owner refused to pay the extortion money. Enraged, Poojary sent his associates to assault the channel owner. A case was registered in this connection at the Indiranagar police station.

The case was later transferred to the CCB, which plans to take custody of Pujari from the police after the coronavirus situation improves.

The CCB has now filed chargesheets against Pujari in four cases so far.
