A trio doing zig-zags on their bike on Sunday were nabbed by the police, but not before they had assaulted the cop who tried to stop them.
When Vijayanagar traffic police constable Vidyadhar stopped the youths near Maruti Mandir on Vijayanagar main road, he was assaulted. The trio were arrested with the help of locals.
None of them was wearing a helmet, and a marijuana packet was seized from one of them.
The accused have been identified as Amar Qureshi, Syed Sadiq Ahmed and a minor.
